About London Mets
Founded in 1988, London Mets is the most successful club in the history of British baseball. The club fields teams at every level of the domestic game, from children of five through to the National Baseball League, and has represented Britain in European club competition in each of the last three qualifying cycles.
The club’s record
London Mets have won the National Baseball League thirteen times, including each of the last ten seasons, and have taken titles at every other tier of the Federation’s league system.
- In Europe

The club has won the Baseball European Federation Cup Qualifiers on three occasions: in Blagoevgrad in 2021, undefeated; in Rybnik in 2023; and in Kristiansand in 2025, again undefeated, defeating Kaunas County 12–5 in the final.
That last victory carried the Mets into the 2026 European Cup in Wiener Neustadt, the third tier of European club baseball. The club reached the semi-finals and finished fourth.

Coaches who have played for or coached at London Mets now hold positions across Major League Baseball, among them Liam Carroll with the Boston Red Sox, Drew Spencer with the New York Yankees, Brad Marcelino with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Freddy Mosier with the Philadelphia Phillies and Jonathon Cramman with the New York Mets organisation.
How the club got here

The club was founded as an adult softball team called the London Millions, taking its name from the company that sponsored it, and played in and around Finsbury Park from the outset.
- The youth programme

The club’s youth programme began under the name London Meteorites and grew out of the work of Tanya Cramman, who approached the softball club with the idea of teaching baseball to children in the park. Her own son wanted to play, so she learned the game in order to coach it, and helped turn a disused cricket pitch on Green Lanes into a diamond.
Among the players she coached was her son Jonathon, who went on to play for the Mets in the National Baseball League and is now a coach within the New York Mets organisation. Youth baseball has been the foundation of the club ever since.
- 2007–2009

London Mets entered the National Baseball League in 2007 and won it at the first attempt, finishing the regular season 20–6 and beating Croydon Pirates in the championship game. A second title followed in 2008 from a record of 23–1, with an 11–4 win over Richmond Flames in the final. Josh Chetwynd, later a broadcaster and author on the game, played in both sides.
Expansion followed almost immediately: London Metros were formed in 2008 and London Marauders in 2009.
- 2010–2019

Through the 2010s the club put teams into every tier of the Federation’s league system and launched Baseball4Beginners, its adult introductory programme, in 2011. A third national championship came in 2015, and in 2017 the first team began the run of consecutive titles that continues today.
- 2020 to the present

London Mayhem was formed in 2021 to compete in the Federation’s women’s league, and the Canal League was created in 2022 to give adults new to the game a competitive but unintimidating place to play. The first team won the National Baseball League in every season from 2017 to 2026, and in 2026 the club made its first appearance in the European Cup.
