The London Mets 10th annual youth summer camp is just around the corner, beginning August 19th through the 23rd. This year will again have a few innovations including extended hours to 3pm and catering on site. The camp will run daily from 10am until 3pm. Extra Innings early drop-off will be available for working parents at 9am for a nominal £5 charge per player, payable on site in cash or by card.
The camp will run much like past camps with players split into groups by age and ability over three diamonds. Coaches will be experienced baseball players and coaches from our own London Mets own nine adult baseball teams. Beginners are welcome.
The day will start with warm-ups followed by a range of drills and progressions covering all aspects of baseball at a pace comfortable for all players. There will be extra time to focus on skills development of younger players. After a catered lunch (available for purchase on site or reserved), the groups will generally begin some kind of fun competitive games. The days will sometimes finish with all the players coming together for some discussion and fun final competition with all players participating (like pitching strikes).
Age groups from six years old and going up to 15/16 depending on level. An older youth playing single A adult would still benefit from the time.
