Capitals Have 17-run Inning in Rout of Falcons

The London Capitals continued their strong 2021 campaign on Sunday with 24-0 and 16-2 victories over the Herts Falcons. In game 1, Bobby Anderson twirled a 2-hit shutout on just 58 pitches over 5 innings. The Caps' offence was led by Masa Hashiguchi and Leo Cendeño's three hits apiece. Over the course of those 24 runs, homeruns were added by Julio Cesar Figuereo Almonte, Cendeño, Rafael Jose Garcia Ramirez, and Johan Villanueva.

Game 2 was more of the same. Figuero Almonte put up an impressive 4-for-4 day with a triple shy of the cycle but 2 homeruns for a total of three on the day. London steamrolled on to a second 5-inning mercy rule victory while Ian Deering gets the win with a 2-hit outing of his own.
